The group “Free the People ROC” says on it’s Facebook page that it’s changing tactics in the protest against the death of Daniel Prude.

The group is ending its nightly protests at City Hall and is planning “new actions in the coming weeks.”

The group has been protesting for nearly three weeks since news broke concerning the death of Daniel Prude who suffocated while in Rochester Police custody.  The group wants the officers involved to be arrested and charged and the resignation of Mayor Lovely Warren and District Attorney Sandra Doorley, both of whom refuse to step down.

La’Ron Singletary was removed as police chief, and yesterday subpoenas were issued in an independent investigation ordered by City Council.
