A County Court Judge has approved an order requested by the Monroe County District Attorney, to obtain a sample of Laura Rideout’s DNA.

Rideout and her two sons are charged with evidence tampering and burglary for allegedly entering her ex-husband’s townhouse in Penfield…and trying to clean up blood evidence. Drain cleaner they used in the attempt was allegedly dumped at Mendon Ponds Park.
The DA’s request for the court order says Laura Rideout and her boyfriend were seen at a Walmart buying a tarp, bungee cords and drain cleaner.
Craig Rideout’s body was found dumped in Yates County the next day wrapped in a similar tarp. Drain cleaner had been poured on the body to disfigure it.
Laura, Alex and Colin Rideout are currently free on bail.
