A Pittsford man convicted of a million dollar food stamp scheme has been sentenced to a year in prison.
Federal prosecutors say 62-year-old Irving Feldman was also ordered to pay nearly $730,000 in restitution.
Prosecutors say between 2010 and 2015, Feldman allegedly purchased food stamps for a fraction of their value at his own business, Upstate Fish on Joseph Avenue. Officials say those stamps were worth a total of $1.2 million dollars.
Feldman previously pled guilty to food stamp fraud.
