Yesterday’s windstorm that toppled three tractor-trailer rigs in Monroe County still has utility crews working to get power back on for thousands of Rochester-area residents.

Rochester Gas and Electric reports about 13,000 people still to be reconnected this morning, and National Grid reported 45,000 customers out, most of them in Central New York and the Hudson  Valley. Fewer than a thousand were waiting to have power restored in the Rochester area.
