New York’s two United States Senators say the post office in Bergen will be named the “Barry G. Miller Post Office” in memory of the Genesee County Coroner, who was killed when an ambulance crashed into a backhoe on Bovee Road in Riga.

Miller wore a lot of hats in Bergen. In addition to coroner he was also a 31-year-member of the Bergen Fire Department and was chief of its Emergency Medical Services Team.

The two senators and Congressman Chris Collins say his spirit of volunteerism and service to his community needed to be honored.
