The lawyer representing Rochester Firefighter Jerrod Jones has released an image taken from the Rochester Fire Department’s “Family Page.” It shows Jones photoshopped into an image with civil rights leaders, a bucket of fried chicken and a “Black Lives Matter” banner.

Attorney Nate McMurray says the retired firefighter who posted this image is openly mocking his client and “further demonstrating the racist attitudes and behavior contained for years within the Rochester Fire Department.” He says “it needs to change.”

Jerrod Jones is suing the city and the RFD after he says his captain took him to a racist party while on duty. The party used buckets of fried chicken and bottles of cognac to mock the Juneteenth Holiday which symbolizes the end of slavery. The captain retired earlier this year as the city moved to dismiss him.
