Rochester police are investigating how a man’s body ended up in a truckload of refuse dumped by a truck at the Monroe County Recycling Center — and who the man was.
Police say a worker found the body Monday morning in a load of recycling dumped at the center on Emerson Street in Rochester. They say he was African-American and may have been homeless. There were no obvious signs of trauma.
The Medical Examiner was called to the scene. Police are tracing the route followed by the Waste Management Company truck as they try to figure out where the body was picked up.
