Rochester police have resolved a standoff that took place early Monday morning in the area of West Broad and Orange Streets, but have not said if anyone was arrested.

Police say a man fired a gun into an occupied car, hitting it a number of times without injuring anybody. The suspect then went into a house on Orange Street that he originally came from. Police and the SWAT Team responded and blocked off the area, establishing contact with the man inside the house.

The SWAT Team finally moved in after four hours and two people were located inside the home. Police say this remains an active investigation and more information will be released later.

The West Broad-Orange Street area has now reopened.
