Police in Rochester and Brighton are investigating bank robberies by what may be the same man.
Rochester Police responded for an attempted holdup at the Chase Bank on Monroe Avenue. A man passed a note to a teller, but fled without getting any money.
While police were investigating that case, Brighton Police were called for a holdup alarm at the Summit Federal Credit Union on Monroe Avenue. In that case, the suspect got away with about $800. Brighton Police reported the man’s description matched the Rochester suspect.
The robber fled in a taxi back towards the city on Monroe Avenue.
