The man who was 14-years-old when he shot Rochester police officer Anthony Diponzio has been released from prison.
Tyquan Rivera is now 22. He was denied parole three times, but was finally granted conditional release under Corrections Department policy after serving two-thirds of his sentence. Rivera was sentenced to 10 years for attempted murder.
Officer Diponzio was shot in the back of the head in January of 2009. He survived and spent three years in recovery before returning to work.
ivera will live in Buffalo and will have to wear a GPS tracking device.
