A Rochester police officer was treated at Strong Memorial Hospital Tuesday night after being hit over the head with a bottle while trying to make an arrest.
Police say it happened just before 9:00 p.m. on the Northwest Side, while officers were dealing with a domestic disturbance call on Lake Avenue.
Officers found an intoxicated man at the scene, who attacked an officer and hit him with a bottle. He was taken to the hospital along with a female victim who was also injured.
Police charged 31-year-old Robert Fleming with assault on a police officer, menacing and other charges.
