A 22-year-old Rochester woman is recovering after surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital after she was shot early this morning.
Police say the shooting, which happened just after midnight, took place after two groups of women agreed to fight out their dispute in the area of 252 Weaver Street. Both apparently agreed not to use guns, but guns were pulled during the fight and shots were fired.
Injured was 22-year-old Tyanna Dawson, who is in stable condition at Strong.
Police have located a vehicle of interest in the shooting, detained several women and recovered several weapons, among them a loaded handgun and a Taser.
