Rochester police are investigating a string of four carjackings that took place Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
- Multiple suspects, one with a gun, forcibly stole a person’s car on Dunn Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. Police tried to pull the car over on Steko Avenue, but the driver tried to get away. He crashed into a tree at Steko Avenue and Aster Street. All the occupants ran, but a 16-year-old boy was arrested a short distance from the scene.
- Suspects, armed with a handgun, forcibly stole a car on Webster Avenue shortly before 1:00 Thursday morning.
- Suspects with a gun forcibly stole an Uber driver’s car on East Main Street shortly after 1:00 a.m.
- Suspects armed with a handgun forcibly stole a vehicle from a victim around 1:30 a.m. on West Ridge Road.
All of these are active investigations. Nobody was injured in the carjackings.
