Rochester Police say a 21-year-old man was shot to death early Friday morning on OK Terrace off Hollenbeck Street in Northeast Rochester.
Police say they and State Troopers arrived to find a large crowd around the victim, Zahr Butler of Rochester. He’d been shot in the torso but was pronounced dead at the scene despite livesaving measures.
About ten minutes before the shooting, officers had broken up a large crowd hanging out at Clinton Avenue and Mazda Terrace. They say many of the same people were at the shooting scene.
There are no suspects in custody at this time and the Major Crimes Unit is conducting the investigation.
