Rochester Police are investigating an assault call that turned out to be a murder case.
Police were called about 6:50 Friday evening to the corner of Sherman and Emerson Streets. They found a man in his 20s with an upper body injury. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead there. Police said the man wasn’t shot; he apparently died of some sort of blunt force trauma.
The victim has not been positively identified yet. The investigation continues
