Rochester Police say the city’s 67th homicide of the year took place Sunday morning at about 6:30 a.m. in the Maplewood neighborhood.

Officers were called to Dewey and Knickerbocker Avenues for a report of a man shot. They found 31-year-old David Yaw, who’d been shot. Yaw was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say it appears the victim was shot near the corner and collapsed a short distance away. No arrest has been made and the circumstances of the shooting are still being investigated.
