A Rochester police officer on his way to answer a burglary call crashed into another car that turned left into his path at Mount Read Boulevard and Lyell Avenue about 5:00 Friday morning.
Police say the officer was treated for minor injuries at Highland Hospital. The three occupants of the other car ran and were taken into custody by police. A 20-year-old Rochester man was ticketed for having an outstanding arrest warrant and refused medical treatment. A second person went to Rochester General Hospital for treatment and will be taken to jail because of an oustanding warrant. The third man was highly intoxicated and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital as a result.
No charges have been filed yet but the case remains under investigation.
