Rochester Police used pepper spray and a Taser to break up a large fight that broke out early this morning in the East End district.

Police were called at 2:00 a.m. to the corner of East Avenue and Alexander Street after the city’s “blue light” surveillance cameras saw people fighting in the street. Officers arrived to find several groups fighting and called for backup to break up the fights and disperse the crowd.

Several people were arrested for disorderly conduct and similar offenses. The person who was Tased was taken to the hospital, but no other notable injuries were reported and nobody has actually been arrested so far.

There’s no word on what caused the fights.
