Rochester police have charged a Gates man who attempted to interfere as they arrested a suspect on Norton Street Friday night.
A crowd surrounded officers making the arrest and they used Capstun to push the group back.
Police say 30-year-old Ross Henderson then attempted to pull an officer’s gun from the holster, but officers pried his hands off it and arrested him. Investigators charged Henderson with attempted robbery, attempted criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.
Henderson was taken to jail to await arraignment, and nobody was injured.
