Rochester police say a bicycle rider was hit by a pickup truck about 9:30 Friday morning in the 400 block of Chili Avenue.
The truck was an older model. It hit the rider and two parked cars on the south side of the street before the driver left in an unknown direction.
The bike rider, a 25-year-old city man, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of upper body injuries.
Police closed the 400 block of Chili Avenue between Rugby and Sherwood Avenues and were interviewing witnesses. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to please call 911.
