Brandon Burgess of Phelps, who admitted to holding up a convenience store and leading police on a multi-county manhunt, has been sentenced to five years in state prison.

Phelps will also serve five years supervised release when he gets out. The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to charges of robbery, grand larceny and evidence tampering among other charges.

He held up the store with what turned out to be an Airsoft gun and was eventually taken by police in Seneca County.
