Charleston, South Carolina media are reporting that the man police consider a person of interest in the disappearance of Brittanee Drexel failed a lie detector test after she went missing.
Two Charleston TV stations say Da’Shaun Taylor failed the polygraph test after the Chili teenager vanished in 2009 while she was on a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach. They’re getting this information from the prosecutor in an unrelated case, the holdup of a fast food restaurant in 2011.
Taylor’s lawyer confirmed this much for Rochester media, but didn’t offer any specifics.
The FBI confirmed Taylor was a person of interest in the case last year, when an agent testified that a jailhouse informant reported seeing Taylor with Drexel at a drug house in McClellanville, South Carolina a few days after she vanished. He told the FBI Drexel was allegedly shot while trying to get away and her body thrown to alligators.
