Crews searching the waters of Lake Ontario off the Irondequoit Bay Outlet on Sunday afternoon recovered the body of a missing boater. The body is at the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit, MSCO SCUBA Team, Rochester Police SCUBA and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol were involved in the search on Sunday.
A boater called about 6:30 Saturday evening to report a person had gone into the water for a swim and did not resurface.
