A Perry Town Board member has been accused of second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old Perry man.
The Wyoming County District Attorney says 60-year-old Joseph Mlyniec pleaded not guilty to the charge of allegedly shooting the man in the driveway of his home last night. D.A. Donald O’Geen says the two men knew each other, but did not release any further details
He said Mlyniec called 911 to report the shooting himself, and was taken into custody at the scene without incident. Mylniec is a former Wyoming County Deputy, but Sheriff Greg Rudolph says his department can handle the case without conflict.
