A Penfield man was charged with reckless driving and speeding after his car went off Dublin Road in Penfield and crashed into a tree.

The car, driven by 18-year-old Daltun Roberts, rolled completely over and landed upright. Roberts had to be cut out of the wreck by firefighters using the Jaws of Life. Roberts was seriously injured but is in stable condition. A 17-year-old passenger also went to the hospital but had less serious injuries.

Dublin Road has reopened after the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigation.
