An agreement for the Town of Penfield to buy the Shadow Pines Golf Club was unanimously approved by the town board this evening, and immediately signed by Supervisor Tony LaFountain.

Penfield officials announced an agreement with Dolomite/Oldcastle earlier in the day. The purchase price will be $3.65 million, and the town will get title to the historic Clark House as well as the golf course.

With the agreement in place, a referendum on the Shadow Pines purchase will move forward as scheduled on Tuesday, February 27th. The polling place will be the Penfield Community Center.

The town is buying the 211-acres of land to preserve it from development.
