A driver who turned left across the path of oncoming traffic triggered a crash in Ontario County that involved eight pedestrians.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says Patrick Babb was driving south on State Route 14 when he tried to turn left at Glass Factory Bay and was hit by an oncoming car. Both vehicles then struck eight people who were standing by the intersection. All eight pedestrians and both drivers were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, Geneva General or Thompson Hospital. All are expected to recover.
Babb has been cited for reckless driving and failure to yield.
