A Greece woman is under arrest, accused of ramming a Rochester police car multiple times with an SUV and sending an officer to the hospital on Wednesday.
She was arrested after fleeing police in a stolen GMC Envoy and ramming it into a pole a few blocks away. She turned out to be on parole from a burglary charge.
Police say they’d been looking for the stolen SUV and found it in a driveway on Argo Park. When an officer got out of his car to investigate, the woman backed the SUV into the squad car repeatedly, then drove off. she didn’t get far, crashing into a light pole around the corner on Lake View Park.
The officer who was injured was treated and released.
