Fire hit a home on Park Avenue Sunday night, with the Rochester Fire Department able to keep the blaze confined to a single, second floor bedroom.

The house at 1293 Park Avenue suffered moderate smoke damage throughout the building. Nobody was injured, although family members reportedly ran back into the burning house in an effort to rescue their cats. There’s no word on the status of the cats.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
