The Rochester Park Avenue Festival has been canceled for a second year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A statement from the Park Avenue Revitalization Committee, the event sponsors, says it will not be held this August.

The committee says it’s reviewed state health department guidelines and decided to find other ways to celebrate Park Avenue and all it has to offer in 2021. They say they’ll focus on helping the small businesses along the avenue that have been hit by the COVID pandemic’s economic downturn.

One week ago, organizers of the Corn Hill Arts Festival likewise decided they couldn’t proceed this year under the state regulations.
