At one point Monday evening, Honeoye Falls firefighters, Monroe County Deputies and State Police were all out looking for a parachutist onlookers believed might have crashed in Honeoye Falls.
Turns out, it was a paraglider making a normal landing; normal for a paraglider, which combines a parachute with a small motor and a propeller that allows level flight and a powered landing.
Investigators soon found a local person had been performing acrobatics in his paraglider and he was OK. He was not in restricted airspace, and it was totally legal.
Case closed.
