A 17-year-old from Rochester was taken by friends to Rochester General Hospital Wednesday evening after he was shot on Clay Avenue. Police say the teen was hit in the lower body at about 6:15. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and the circumstances remain under investigation.

Rochester police are investigating after an 11-year-old child was found dead on Hague Street. Police went to the West Side address for a medical call about 8:45 Wednesday night. The cause of death remains under investigation and police have not released any further information.
