Orleans County has joined Monroe and parts of Wayne County in declaring a state of emergency along the Lake Ontario shoreline.

The State of Emergency is triggered by rising water and the threat of winds which could drive waves ashore. Orleans County is describing the situation as a Long Term Hazard. They say there’s no immediate threat to public safety but they’re carefully monitoring the situation.
