The subject of a manhunt in Orleans County on Saturday has been arrested in Lockport.

Orleans County Deputies and State Police spent much of Saturday searching for 30-year-old Gerardo Quiros before determining he had left the area.

The Ridgeway man was accused of being violent with a woman at his home, beating her and refusing to let her leave. Quiros ran away when deputies arrived at the house. He was believed to be carrying as many as three handguns.

Lockport Police and Niagara County Deputies caught up with Quiros Monday afternoon. He’s been charged with strangulation, criminal mischief, unlawful imprisonment, harassment, criminal possession of a controlled substance and using drug paraphernalia. He’s being held on $200,000 bail.

More charges are pending.
