A boil water advisory remains in effect for the Wayne County Town of Ontario.
The town says it needs two sets of water samples taken at five different locations around the town water system to come back negative for contaminants before they can lift the advisory. They say they should have the first set of results by 4:30 Monday afternoon; the second set by late Tuesday morning. It takes 24 hours to collect the samples, run the tests and get the results.
That means the order to boil town water for at least one minute before drinking it remains in effect, at least through tomorrow morning.
