The Rochester Police department says it’s bringing departmental charges against Officer Mark Vaughn, one of seven officers involved in subduing Daniel Prude last year.

Prude fell unconscious and died a week after being restrained by the RPD officers. No other officers have been charged.

A statement from the city does not spell out what the charge or charges are…and what discipline he might face. The seven officers remain suspended.

The police department completed its investigation in April, according to the D&C, and the District Attorney’s Office declined to charge any of the officers involved.
