A two alarm fire has left one person dead and sent six others to the hospital in Rochester.
The fire broke out shortly after 8:00 Monday night at a home on Hertel Street off Brown Street. Firefighters made several attempts to get into the burning building but were forced back and had to fight it from the outside.
Police say three children and three adults taken to the hospital are expected to recover. The name of the deceased hasn’t been released yet.
