One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a crash Wednesday evening in Livingston County.
The crash happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. at the corner of Route 36 and Perry Road in Leicester. A vehicle carrying five people was northbound on Route 36 when the driver tried to turn left on Perry Road and went into the path of an oncoming truck.
Two people were thrown from the vehicle, with a 59-year-old man pronounced dead at the scene. The other injured party was a woman in her late 40s who was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. The other three passengers went to Strong with minor injuries and the tractor trailer driver was apparently not hurt.
