The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says one person is dead after a shooting incident in Caledonia Sunday afternoon.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that a man called 911 to report he had shot his 64-year-old roommate after the two argued for most of the day. Sheriff Tom Dougherty said in a news conference that deputies were called to the mobile home on Alpine Lane by 56-year-old Steve Adams, who cooperated with investigators.

The victim, Dale Ryerse, was found inside and pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff Dougherty says Ryerse owned the trailer and Adams was a tenant. He says multiple guns were recovered from the residence. He also says deputies had been called to the home before.

Adams has been charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
