One person is dead following a fatal two car crash in Parma.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s office says a vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of Clarkson-Parma Townline Rd. at Parma Center Rd. and struck a second vehicle. A person in the second vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the first vehicle was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Chief Deputy Michael Fowler says the investigation will take awhile to complete and deputies are looking into whether alcohol or drugs played a part.
Late Monday, the sheriff’s office said deputies are trying to track the vehicle that ran the stop sign before it arrived at the accident scene. It’s a green Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.
