Ogden Police say a seven-hour incident ended peacefully in Spencerport at about 5:00 this morning.
The department says officers were called about 10:00 last night to the Parkview Apartments off Big Ridge Road to check on a despondent man who had allegedly made some alarming statements to family members. He then locked himself in his apartment.
Police and the Monroe County Sheriff’s SWAT team evacuated the neighboring apartments and kept watch overnight until the man finally agreed to come out. He was taken into custody without incident and taken to the hospital for evaluation.
