Two Ogden police officers arrested three teenage suspects early Tuesday day on charges of stealing property from a string of unlocked cars throughout the town and the Village of Spencerport. One of those teens is also accused of being in possession of a stolen van.
The suspects were observed about 2:00 Tuesday morning running from a residential yard to a van with no front license plate. The two officers stopped the van and found it had been stolen Monday in the City of Rochester. They detained three suspects under the age of 18. A fourth person may have fled on foot.
The three suspects will appear in Family Court. Police are taking reports of larcenies from vehicles parked in the area of Chambers St., Hubbell Road and the Village. None of those vehicles were locked.
