Officials of Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming Counties are jointly asking Governor Cuomo to designate a mass COVID vaccination clinic on the campus of Genesee Community College outside Batavia.

In their joint letter to the governor, legislative leaders and public health directors of the three counties say Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming have consistently been left out of the COVID-19 response, with delays in testing supplies and vaccine allocations. All three counties say they are medically underserved and having a regional clinic half-an-hour’s drive away would benefit all the communities in those three counties.

They go on to say that GCC is easily accessible from the Thruway, and could handle 2,000 individuals per day with assistance from the National Guard.
