Governor Andrew Cuomo says starting Wendesday, the state will follow the CDC masking guidelines for the COVID pandemic announced last week.
The guidelines will life most masking requirements for fully vaccinated people. They won’t need to wear masks or socially distance in any setting except where required by federal, state or local law. Local businesses may choose to keep masking requirements in place.
Masks will still be required on public transportation, in nursing homes, homeless shelters, correctional facilities, schools and health care facilities.
