Governor Andrew Cuomo says most COVID-19 capacity limits on New York businesses will be lifted as of May 19th, part of a major reopening effort coordinated with the neighboring states of New Jersey and Connecticut.

That includes gyms, restaurants, museums, retail stores, theaters, offices, amusement parks and entertainment venues.

Outdoor large stadium capacity will go to 33 percent on May 19th. Limits on outdoor food and beverage service are being lifted May 17th and the indoor curfew on May 31st.

New York will continue to follow the CDC six-foot distancing guideline and says capacity will be limited only by that requirement.
