State Police in Batavia say they’re continuing to investigate the 39-year-old murder of Jessica Rose Lane.
A pair of deer hunter’s found the 66-year-old woman’s body on November 25th, 1977, in a wooded area off Alley Road in the Town of Darien, Genesee County. She’d last been seen about a week-and-a-half earlier at her apartment complex in the Buffalo suburbs.
Lane’s body had fractured ribs, a broken elbow and a fractured skull, likely caused by stabbing. She was known to keep to herself and rarely had visitors.
