Governor Cuomo has signed a law adding e-cigarettes to the Clean Indoor Air Act. That effectively bans e-cigs wherever smoking is already prohibited.

Cuomo says electronic cigarettes and vaping are often marketed as healthier alternatives to cigarettes, but they also carry long-term health risks to the users and people around them.

The existing law banned smoking tobacco in any form in public places. Adding e-cigarettes bans vaping in bars, restaurants and workplaces statewide.
