The New York Attorney General’s office is taking another step in its ongoing investigation into sexual abuse of children within the New York dioceses of the Catholic Church.
AG Barbara Underwood has subpoenaed all eight Roman Catholic dioceses in New York and announced that a clergy abuse hotline and online complaint form is now available for victims to report abuse.
Underwood is also asking local district attorneys to work with her on prosecuting any cases of abuse that are turned up. Monroe County DA Sandra Doorley says she has no such cases at this time.
