A Rochester nurse who falsified time sheets to collect $19,000 in extra Medicaid compensation has been sentenced to three years probation and to pay back the money.
The New York Attorney General’s Office says 34-year-old Jill Tiefel pled guilty to a petit larceny charge after she was caught claiming 269 hours that were either not provided to Medicaid patients or were actually covered by someone else.
The AG’s office says she’ll pay back more than $7,500 and will have to satisfy a $12,000 judgement against her for the rest.
