The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says Tyquan RIvera pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a series of drug charges, for which he will serve 15 years in prison when he’s sentenced next month.
Rivera was 14 when he shot Rochester police officer Anthony DiPonzio. He was sentenced as a juvenile and released from prison in 2016 when his sentence maxed out. Since then he’s been back in prison for violating parole in 2017, released in 2019, then charged again in connection with a fatal car crash, a domestic violence incident and drug dealing.
